WEEKEND OVERVIEW:

Garden Rose in Bloom in Seattle with Pink and Posey | Quynh Nguyen and StudioLife

Day 1:

  Saturday, March 29, 2025

On day one, we'll begin by exploring the lilac's intricate anatomy and the different stages of its bloom. We will work with the new 90-gsm Italian crepe paper, and I'll show you how to use this stretchy crepe to create delicate petals. Together, we will make each delicate bud from modeling clay and start hand-cutting the petals that bring this flower to life, setting the foundation for a stunning, realistic lilac creation.

Day 2:

Sunday, March 30, 2025

The final day is about assembly, where you'll bring your lilac branch to life by forming all the individual florets and learning how to seamlessly combine buds and florets into a branch for a cohesive, impactful display. You'll gain insight into creating delicate, repetitive blooms that, when assembled, make a striking visual statement. As a finishing touch, I'll also guide you in making a knobby, old branch—perfect for displaying your lilac masterpiece on the wall.

 MEET QUYNH

Quynh, the creative force behind Pink and Posey™, is not just a paper artist and soon-to-be author, but a community builder and educator.

Her work, celebrated across various platforms, embodies the spirit of sharing and growth. Dive deeper into her world through her podcast, Paper Talk™.

You can now pre-order her paper flower book, THE NEW ART OF PAPER FLOWERS! The book is set to release on November 12, 2024.

Each and every pre-order is huge when it comes to how much exposure a book gets. The more pre-orders, the more the algorithm pushes the book out in front of eyes. Amazon and other platforms do not pay authors well, so I usually encourage people to buy through their local indie or through bookshop.org, but during the pre-order time period, sales at Amazon makes a big difference. Thank you so much for all your support.
